Compare this to the Below the Deadline to see the difference in how on a limited budget and shooting schedule one can make a top-notch noir and not merely a cheap throw-away. This film pulsates with noir excitement, from the terrific nightmare sequence early on, to the agonizingly conflicted Vincent Price character, to his depraved & seductive nurse mistress, played by Lynn Bari. I can't really say anything to add to the appreciation this film has received and richly deserved. The best I can say for it is that it must be seen to truly be enjoyed.
